MARILÁ

DARDOT

Meet Marilá Dardot, a nomadic spirit between Mexico City and São Paulo, who crafts art that narrates the silent dialogues of memory and culture. Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1973, and refined by an MFA from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Dardot’s creations traverse the landscapes of literature, language, and the often-overlooked corners of historical narratives.

Her art delicately peels back layers of political erasure and censorship, weaving a tapestry that challenges and communicates across temporal and ideological divides. With a keen focus on the ephemerality of our collected histories and the stories left untold, Dardot orchestrates collaborative projects that redefine the viewer’s engagement with the forgotten and the censored.

At El Ganzo, where creativity meets the pulse of cultural memory, Marilá Dardot continues to explore and expand her artistic dialogue, inviting us all to read between the lines of her compelling visual stories.
