Viva California Libre is a series of drawings created directly on the wall that represents the possible figure that the peninsula of Baja California would have if it becomes an archipelago, after breaking apart from the rest of the American continent, thanks to the tectonic phenomenon known as the San Andreas Fault.
This piece presents a new future geography and suggest the formation of a new nation thanks to the separation of this territory. This tectonic phenomenon also concurs with a series of separatists initiatives to make the peninsula and the State of California in Mexico and US independent. This piece presents a gesture that seeks to highlight the
importance of the geographic in the politic and cultural worlds.
